10 Week Program

Learn how to better regulate your nervous system and understand old patterns of behaving and reacting
Feel less burned out, better regulated and more connected to yourself, others and the world.

What's included in the program?

Assessment, Awareness Building and Psychoeducation: Assessment of current stress levels, sources of stress, and current life impact. This phase involves establishing awareness about your stress triggers and patterns and psychoeducation related to current theories of stress and stress regulation.

Skill Development: Introduction and learning stress management techniques. This can include mindfulness, meditation, time management, and cognitive restructuring skills to change negative thought patterns.

Personalized Strategy Formulation: Here we develop personalized strategies that address your unique stressors and goals. This step is crucial for ensuring the program's relevance to your life and challenges.

Implementation and Practice: Encouragement and support in applying these strategies in your daily life. This stage involves regular practice and application of learned skills to build resilience and effective coping mechanisms.

Monitoring and Support: Ongoing support and monitoring of progress. This might include regular check-ins, support groups, or one-on-one coaching sessions to discuss challenges and successes.

Feedback and Adjustment: Regular feedback gathering on your progress and experiences. We will use this feedback to make necessary adjustments to your strategies and approach.

Integration and Habit Formation: Focus on helping you integrate stress management practices into your everyday routines, turning them into sustainable habits.

Evaluation and Reflection: At the end of the program, we will evaluate your progress from Point A to Point B. Encouragement to reflect on how you've grown, what you've learned, and how you've overcome your stress-related symptoms and challenges.

Future Planning: I will assist in developing a long-term plan to maintain and continue building upon the progress you've made, ensuring lasting change and ongoing personal development.

Laurie has been a Certified Canadian Counselor (CCC - 1625)) with the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) since 2009 specializing in; reducing and managing symptoms related to anxiety and depression, harm reduction techniques to change unwanted behaviors or habits, managing psychosocial symptoms related to childhood sexual abuse as well as parenting techniques to help reduce troubling/unwanted behavior in your child/children. Laurie uses psychoeducation along with a variety of treatment modalities and interventions to help you achieve your goals around mental well-being and leading a balanced life.
